Bespoke, Due to the more complex make this is a style not seen very often in ready to wear but is a staple of bespoke shirts. Reinforcing the side seams with a gusset creates the most strength. However this can be a messy look to wear untucked so is most commonly found on more formal shirts that will remain in the trouser.
Shaped, This style has found its way into most ready to wear shirts. A simple shape, with a curve that can be deepend or made more shallow according to the client ’ s preferences. The shape allows for length at the front and back, and creates an elegant finish to the bottom. Out of the three options this is the most versatile for wearing either tucked or untucked.
Square, A straight edge at the bottom of the shirt with larger seam than the other hems, sometimes with vents at the side for movement, this is most often found on more casual shirts and offers a bit more of a point of interest when a shirt is worn outside of the trouser.
